The agreement between StandardOS and the organizations that use it. Written to be read — if anything is unclear, ask us before you rely on it.
StandardOS is operated by RMS Systems, a Danish company (CVR 34282668, VAT DK34282668), registered at Nyvangsvej 29, 1. tv., 5000 Odense C, Denmark. You can reach us at hello@getstandardos.com.
StandardOS is a subscription software service for building and operating a management system for ISO standards, starting with ISO/IEC 27001. It includes, among other things: a scoping wizard that drafts your Statement of Applicability, generated policy documents with version control and approvals, a risk register, a compliance calendar, evidence records, internal-audit and management-review records, nonconformity and corrective-action tracking, tamper-evident audit logging, and PDF exports of your records. AI-assisted drafts are always marked as drafts and require your confirmation before they become part of your records.
StandardOS is a software tool. It is not a certification body, a law firm, or a consultancy, and using it does not by itself guarantee certification or legal compliance — that depends on how your organization implements and operates its management system.
StandardOS is offered exclusively to businesses and other organizations acting in the course of their trade or profession, not to consumers. By creating an organization you confirm that you act on behalf of such an entity and have authority to bind it to these terms. Consumer-protection rules for distance contracts, including the 14-day consumer right of withdrawal, therefore do not apply — see our Cancellation & Refund Policy for the generous cancellation terms that do.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you store, for keeping your credentials secure, and for the actions of users you invite to your organization. You must not use StandardOS to store content that is unlawful, to attempt to breach the security or integrity of the service, or to resell access without our written agreement.
StandardOS costs €249 per organization per month (billed in euro, excluding VAT), flat — every feature, unlimited users. VAT is added or reverse-charged according to applicable rules based on your billing country and VAT registration. Prices for optional future add-ons will always be shown before you buy them.
Payment is by card, processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe over encrypted (TLS) connections and are never transmitted to or stored on StandardOS servers; Stripe is a certified PCI DSS Level 1 service provider. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled.
New organizations get a 14-day free trial with full functionality and no card required to start. If you add a payment method, your paid subscription starts when the trial ends and we (via Stripe) email you a reminder 7 days before the trial ends, including how to cancel. If you don't subscribe, your workspace becomes read-only after a short grace period — your data stays exportable at any time.
You can cancel any time, in the app, effective at the end of the current billing period — no notice period, no cancellation fee, no sales call. Details, including our refund approach, are in the Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Your records belong to you. You can export your full dataset in open formats at any time with one click, including during the trial and after cancellation (your workspace remains read-only and exportable for 90 days after a subscription ends, after which it is scheduled for deletion). We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy; a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is available for all customers. All customer data is hosted in the European Union.
We operate StandardOS with the same discipline we sell: monitored infrastructure, tested backups, and a public incident history. We target high availability but, like any software service, do not promise uninterrupted operation. Support is available at support@getstandardos.com and we answer within one business day.
We retain all rights in the StandardOS software and content we provide (including policy templates). You receive a non-exclusive right to use them as part of the service, and the documents you generate and complete for your organization are yours to use freely — including after you leave.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability under this agreement is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or anything that cannot be limited under Danish law.
We improve StandardOS continuously and may change these terms. For material changes we give at least 30 days' notice by email; if you object, you may cancel before the change takes effect. The current version always lives at this address, with its date at the top.
These terms are governed by Danish law, and the courts of Denmark have exclusive jurisdiction — though we'd much rather you email us first; almost everything can be solved that way.
