Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancelling your subscription

Any organization owner can cancel from Billing → Cancel subscription inside the app: no notice period, no cancellation fee, no phone call, no "retention specialist". You keep full access until the cancellation takes effect and are not charged again.

Monthly: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month.

Annual: an annual subscription runs for a fixed term of twelve months from the date of purchase, invoiced in full at the start of the term. You can cancel in the app at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the twelve-month term, and the fee for the term is not refunded in part. Unless cancelled before the renewal date, the subscription renews for a further twelve months.

If you move from monthly to annual, the annual term starts on the day you switch and the monthly plan ends that day. Moving from annual to monthly takes effect at the end of the annual term.

During the free trial

The 7-day trial requires no card to start and simply expires if you do nothing. There is nothing to cancel and you will never be charged. StandardOS never converts a trial into a paid subscription automatically: a subscription begins only when you complete checkout yourself. We email you three days before the trial ends so the date is not a surprise.

Refunds

Fees already paid are generally non-refundable: partial months are not prorated, and an annual fee is not refunded in part for the remainder of the term. This is what keeps a flat, sales-call-free price possible. Two exceptions, always:

• If you were charged in error (for example a renewal that ran after you cancelled, or a duplicate charge), we refund it in full, promptly.
• If something on our side made the service materially unusable for you during a billing period, write to us and we will make it right with a refund or credit, at your choice, no forms to fill.

Refund requests: support@getstandardos.com. We respond within one business day, and approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (bank posting times are typically 5–10 business days).

Done-for-you orders

A done-for-you service is paid once, in advance, and is not a subscription: there is nothing to cancel in the app. The work starts from an intake: a short form, one call and your documents. The working days stated on the offer run from the day we confirm the intake is complete. They are Monday to Friday and never fall from 24 December to 1 January. We confirm the delivery date in writing that day.

Full refund if we miss the date we confirmed, through our fault. Refund requests go to support@getstandardos.com, and an approved refund returns to the original payment method. The two exceptions above apply to these orders as well.

Done-for-you services are sold to businesses only, so the consumer right of withdrawal does not apply. The full terms are in §8 of the Terms of Service.

Your data after cancellation

Cancelling never locks you out of your own records: your workspace becomes read-only and remains fully exportable for 90 days after the subscription ends, after which it is scheduled for deletion. If your organization has ever had a free supplier profile, that profile is not part of the deletion. It returns to the free plan, published if it was, with its answers and customer links. Export everything with one click at any time, before, during, or after cancellation.

Business customers

StandardOS is sold to businesses only, so the statutory fourteen-day consumer right of withdrawal does not apply; if you are a sole trader buying for your business, the same applies. This policy is what applies instead, and it is intentionally more generous in the ways that matter to a business: cancel anytime, keep your data, and no term beyond the one you chose.
